AHS Association

The AHSA is Aylesbury High School's parent teacher association and is an active and vital part of life at Aylesbury High School. As laid down in its constitution, the main objective of the AHSA is to advance the education of the pupils at the school by:

Developing more extended relationships between the staff, parents and others associated with the school

Engaging in activities which support the school and advance the education of the pupils attending it

Providing and assisting in the provision of facilities for education at the school (not normally provided by the Local Education Authority).

Membership of the AHSA consists of all parents and/or guardians of pupils attending the school and members of staff and is also open to friends of the school e.g. past parents, former pupils, governors, etc.

The AHSA Commitee is elected each year in November at the Annual General Meeting and comprises of parents, staff members and student representatives.

Notwithstanding the "official objectives" of the AHSA, the Committee's main aim is to organise events at which parents and friends can have an enjoyable time whilst raising money for the school.

We are the school's social committee -
fun raisers not just fund raisers!!!

Events and fundraising activities planned by the AHSA for 2009/2010 include:

  • 50:50 Club
  • Quiz Night
  • Girls' Night Out
  • Autumn Draw
  • Yr 7 Parents Social Evening
  • Salsa Evening
  • Race Night
  • Year 7 Disco
  • Year 11 Ball

Please remember -

The AHSA relies on parental support. Help is often required to organise and run events and new ideas are vital for sustained success in the future.
